Position : Residential/Commercial Construction Project Manager Location : in-person in Hammond, Louisiana Compensation : Salary, Commission & Bonuses: Up to $120k Job Description : We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Project Manager to join our residential / commercial roofing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of roofing and other projects, from initial planning to completion. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. You will be trained by the direct supervision of the Owner/Operator. Key Responsibilities : Supervising Construction: Overseeing day-to-day operations on construction sites, ensuring work progresses according to plans and specifications. Plan, coordinate, and manage all phases of residential / commercial roofing projects, including scope, schedule, and budget to ensure timely completion Review project plans, specifications, and contracts to ensure comprehensive understanding of project requirements. Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of milestones and overall project deadlines. Coordinate and communicate with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met. Monitor project progress, addressing any issues or challenges that arise to keep the project on track. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a safe working environment on all job sites. Prepare and present project status reports, including progress, budget, and any changes to the project scope. Manage project budgets, including cost estimation, tracking expenses, and ensuring cost control measures are in place. Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery to job sites. Subcontractor Coordination: Managing subcontractors, scheduling their work, and ensuring they adhere to the project requirements. Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring compliance with building codes, zoning regulations, and other legal requirements throughout the construction process. Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with project specifications. Problem Solving: Identifying and resolving issues that arise during construction, such as design changes, material shortages, or conflicts between subcontractors. Stakeholder Communication: serving as the main point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any issues or concerns. Lead and mentor project teams, providing guidance and support to ensure project goals are achieved. Resolve any disputes or conflicts that arise during the project lifecycle. Qualifications : Minimum of 1 year of experience in project management within the residential / commercial roofing or construction industry. Experience managing insurance related claim projects Proven track record of successfully managing residential / commercial roofing projects from start to finish. Strong knowledge of residential / commercial roofing systems, materials, and installation techniques. Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Acculynx, etc.). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy. Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry. Strong understanding of construction processes, methods, and materials, as well as knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards. Ability to lead and motivate teams, delegate tasks effectively, and resolve conflicts. Organization and time management skills. Knowledge of and/or experience with all types of roofing.
