As our Medical Billing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our billing processes, ensuring timely claims submissions, and leading a team of billing specialists across multiple states. Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of billing specialists for a multi-state provider group, fostering a positive and solution-oriented team culture.
- Track and report key performance indicators, identifying areas for process improvement and optimizing revenue cycle performance.
- Ensure timely and accurate claims submissions, effectively manage denials, and oversee payment posting activities.
- Coordinate the resolution of patient concerns related to claims processing and billing issues, ensuring a high level of patient satisfaction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline billing processes, improve policies and procedures, and drive financial performance.
- Maintain compliance with industry regulations and promote integrity in all collections-related processes.
Requirements: - 4 years of people leadership experience, with at least 2 years in a billing-related setting.
- Previous experience and creativity with managing insurance collections.
Qualifications:
- Passionate about helping patients overcome mental health struggles and committed to Serenity's mission.
- Professional billing experience, preferably in the mental health field.
- Proven ability to build and develop high-performing teams through employee selection, training, performance management, and engagement.
- Strong understanding of billing processes, including charge capture, payment posting, denial management, and patient collections.
- Excellent critical thinking, time management, and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Results-oriented mindset with a sense of urgency to achieve financial goals.
- Ability to organize days and prioritize the ever-changing needs of the department.
